俺は今日、映画を見たんだ
イギリス軍が
勝利を収めたところで
みんな嫌になって帰っちゃった
でも俺は見続けたよ
本で読んだことがあったしね
ワクワクできたなら良かったね

朝起きて、ベッドから転げ落ち
髪に櫛を通してセットする
1階へと向かって
さっと1杯だけ飲んで
ふと顔をあげたら
もう遅刻だって気づいたんだ
コートを見つけて
帽子を引っ掴み
バスを拾って、バスの2階へと向かう
自分の席を見つけて
ちょっと一服
誰かが話しかけてきたけど
僕は眠っちゃったんだ

4千個の穴の話さ
その穴は
割と小さいものだったんだ
それを全部数えたんだって
それで分かったんだ
アルバートホールを埋め尽くすのに
何個の穴が必要かって事がね

were rather small
They had to count them all
