Make ends meetはやりくりするのほうが歌詞に合いますよ。
「紙」よりも「新聞」と訳した良いと思います
feed the rest → feel the rest (休息を感じる)
see how they runの「run」は経営する、運営する、という意味
上の方も書いていますが、「make ends meet」は収支を合わせる、やりくりするという意味
「paper」は新聞
